Oh, how I just loved this book! I kept thinking of so many friends who struggle with clutter and keeping up with their house- including myself. Angie Ryg guides the reader on a beautiful journey of not only cleaning house with do-able steps, but more importantly ministering to our hearts and filling our faith with parallel scripture tying everything into this perfect package. Clutter Free Simplicity edition by Angie Ryg Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

This book links the practical and the spiritual together in a real world example of the clutter of our lives and how we allow those things to get in the way of spiritual growth, and peace in our everyday lives. I went right down to my basement and started on one of my goals for 2013 and took 29 bags of clothes to Salvation Army!! Thanks Angie!
I chose to read this book due to a popular blog featuring Angie on their page one day. The message of this wonderful book is one that my home and my heart have been longing to hear. I look forward to returning to the pages of this little treasure we ad I continue on my path to a clutter free simplicity.
I really appreciate Angie's advice, spoken from one who has been there and come out the other side. Her honesty and humility motivate and encourage others who see the task of de-cluttering as an impossible mountain to climb. You will finish this book and think "if she can do it, so can I!"
I have read several books about decluttering and this has been one of the most meaningful and motivational. The author identifies with the embarrassment I feel in not being able to invite people into my home as often as I would like. She speaks about the more important reasons for decluttering. I am no expert homemaker, but this book offers hope that I can have a home that is welcoming to others. Rather than fearing people coming to the door, I can look more towards inviting people inside. My time can be spent on enjoying people rather than managing stuff.
I highly recommend this book to moms who can't seem to get on top of those piles through out your home. The author Angie, does a great job and encouraging readers to take each space one by one and ends with a beautiful picture of a clutters free home and heart. After reading the book I want to take her advice and clean out a drawer a day to try to eliminate the stuff that's keep holding onto thinking I will "need it some day." This is a great book for anyone who has a house and wants to make it a welcoming home! I love how Angie is so transparent with her struggles.
As a new mom to a baby girl, this book was so helpful! A lot of times when I think about de-cluttering our home I get overwhelmed but Angie's book made me think about getting rid of our clutter in a new, non-stressful way. She had such practical tips and I loved her real-life examples that she gave throughout the book. Not only was her book practical but it was fun to read as well. Every time I went to read it, it felt like I was having a conversation with a friend over coffee. I highly recommend it!
If you are looking for a fast read to help you quick-start your decluttering, this is the book for you. And for the price, this book can't be beat!

The author gives laugh-out-loud examples of her own failures in maintaining an organized home. From unexpected neighbors dropping by to friends visiting, she captures the life of those who struggle with clutter. Fortunately, she doesn't stop there. She gives specific examples of practical steps you can take to make your home more of the haven you desire. In addition, the author reminds us of how living a clutter-free simplistic life is part of God's plan- living in a place of order where hospitality can be practiced.

At the end of each chapter, the author briefly links decluttering our homes to clearing the clutter from our hearts. As she so beautifully writes, "[God] knows that the distractions of this world are like the piles on our counters. They will pull us away from the plans that He has for each of us.... We need to be not only content with our belongings and learn to take care of them, but be content with our lives because God is shaping us daily into His nurturers for His glory."
